Conference for the candidate cities from Romania and Greece applying for the title “European Capital of Culture 2021”

The Sibiu International Theatre Festival in Romania (12-21 June 2015), which promotes high quality Romanian and international dramatic creation and creative dialogue at European and international level, invites representatives of the Greek candidate cities for the title of “European Capital of Culture 2021” to participate in a conference for the cities of Romania and Greece.

The conference will be held on June 15, 2015, at the Hotel «Ibis» (Turandot hall), under the “Sibiu Performing Arts Market”, 15-20 June 2015.

 

The “Sibiu Performing Arts Market” is one of the most important events of the above-mentioned Festival and an important opportunity for artists and cultural operators from Europe and abroad to make valuable contacts, discover innovative artistic workshops, present and promote high-quality performances and works through collaborative research and interdisciplinary cooperation.

 

Mr. Karel Bartak, Head of Culture Unit of the European Commission, Ms. Monica Urian de Sousa, from “Audience Development” of the “Creative Europe” Programme, Mr. Sylvain Pasqua, responsible for the action “European Capital of Culture” from the Directorate General for Education and Culture and representatives of the Romanian Ministry of Culture will be among the speakers.
